● UNCTAD should survey the co-publishing arrangements it has entered into in the past with a view to drawing the appropriate lessons and enhancing its negotiating position with outside publishers; to the same end, it should seek to benefit from the experience of other United Nations organizations in this respect.
● ينبغي لﻷونكتاد أن يُجرِي دراسة إحصائية لترتيبات الاشتراك في النشر التي دخل فيها في الماضي بقصد استخلاص الدروس المناسبة وتحسين موقفه التفاوضي مع الناشرين الخارجيين؛ وتحقيقا للهدف نفسه، فإنه ينبغي أن يسعى إلى اﻹفادة من الخبرة المكتسبة لدى منظمات اﻷمم المتحدة اﻷخرى في هذا الصدد.

152. Decides to resume publication of the United Nations Chronicle in all official languages, as proposed by the Secretary-General, and allocates 700,000 dollars for this purpose, and welcomes the intention of using a co-publishing mechanism in publishing the Chronicle;

UNCTAD has also been seeking UNOG’s expertise in the area of marketing and sales, particularly regarding co-publishing opportunities, and it is exploring the possibility of recovering some of the revenue from the sale of its publications for the purpose of reinvesting it in its own publications programme.
