1. Decides that this agreement shall serve as the initial basis for collaborative institutional arrangements in support of the Global Mechanism by the three organizations;
١- يقرر اتخاذ هذا الاتفاق أساساً أولياً للترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية التي تتخذها المنظمات الثلاث لدعم اﻵلية العالمية؛

The FC responds to the need of collaborative institutional arrangements between the GM and those institutions having relevant experience and comparative advantages in areas relevant to the UNCCD.
وتستجيب لجنة التيسير للحاجة إلى تحديد ترتيبات مؤسسة تعاونية بين الآلية العالمية والمؤسسات التي لديها خبرة ذات صلة ومزايا مقارنة في مجالات تهم اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر.

The Conference then approved decision 24/COP.1 on the organisation to house the Global Mechanism and agreement on its modalities, and decision 25/COP.1 on collaborative institutional arrangements in support of the Global Mechanism.
ووافق المؤتمر بعدئذ على المقرر ٤٢/م أ-١ بشأن تحديد منظمة ﻹيواء اﻵلية العالمية والاتفاق على طرائق عملها، وعلى المقرر ٥٢/م أ-١ بشأن الترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية لدعم اﻵلية العالمية.

Recalling its decisions 24/COP.1 and 25/COP.1 on the organization to house the Global Mechanism and agreement on its modalities, and on collaborative institutional arrangements in support of the Global Mechanism, respectively,
إذ يشير، إلى مقرريه ٤٢/م أ-١ و٥٢/م أ-١ المتعلقين، على التوالي، بتحديد منظمة تؤوي اﻵلية العالمية والاتفاق على طرائق عملها، والترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية لدعم اﻵلية العالمية،

1. At its second session, the Conference of the Parties, recalling its decisions 24/COP.1 and 25/COP.1 on the organization to house the Global Mechanism and agreement on its modalities, and on collaborative institutional arrangements in support of the Global Mechanism, by decision 18/COP.2:
1- اتخذ مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الثانية المقرر 18/م أ-2، بعد أن أشار إلى مقرريه 24/م أ-1 و25/م أ-1 المتعلقين بتحديد منظمة تأوي الآلية العالمية والاتفاق على طرائق عملها، وبالترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية لدعم الآلية العالمية.

In its decision 25/COP.1, the COP decided that the agreement contained in the annex to that decision would serve as the initial basis for collaborative institutional arrangements in support of the Global Mechanism by IFAD, the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank.
وقرر المؤتمر، بموجب المقرر ٥٢/م أ-١، اتخاذ الاتفاق الوارد نصه في المرفق بذلك المقرر أساساً أولياً للترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية لدعم اﻵلية العالمية من جانب الصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية وبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة الانمائي والبنك الدولي.

In addition, the COP will hear and consider a report of IFAD, UNDP and the World Bank on collaborative institutional arrangements, in accordance with the reporting requirements of decision 25/COP.1.

The Fund shall, in accordance with paragraphs 2 and 3 of decision 25/COP.1 of the Conference, fully cooperate with UNDP and the World Bank to proceed with, actively pursue and develop further the collaborative institutional arrangements described in document ICCD/COP(1)/CRP.1, including the establishment of a Facilitation Committee.

Welcoming, as an important element in the successful functioning of the Global Mechanism, the agreement of IFAD, UNDP and the World Bank on collaborative institutional arrangements for the Global Mechanism, as reflected in document ICCD/COP(1)/CRP.1, annexed to this decision,
وإذ يرحب بالاتفاق المبرم بين الصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية وبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي والبنك الدولي بشأن الترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية لﻵلية العالمية، كما هو مبين في الوثيقة ICCD/COP(1)/CRP.1 المرفقة بهذا المقرر، باعتبار ذلك الاتفاق عنصراً هاماً في اﻷداء الناجح لﻵلية العالمية،

2. Decides also that, in carrying out the functions of the Global Mechanism, in accordance with its decision 24/COP.1, the organization to house the Global Mechanism shall, as the lead organization, fully cooperate with the other two institutions that entered into the collaborative institutional arrangements described in document ICCD/COP(1)/CRP.1;
٢- يقرر أيضاً أن تتعاون المنظمة التي ستؤوي اﻵلية العالمية، باعتبارها المنظمة الرائدة، تعاوناً تامــاً مع المؤسستين اﻷخريين المشتركتين في الترتيبات المؤسسية التعاونية الوارد وصفها في الوثيقة ICCD/COP(1)/CRP.1، عند تنفيذ مهام اﻵلية العالمية، وفقاً لمقرره؛

The collaborative institutional arrangements in support of the GM were set out in decision 25/COP.1 and further developed in a memorandum of understanding between the COP and IFAD signed in November 1999.
