وأشادت باعتماد الجمعية العامة للقرار 61/19، الذي يعلن بالإجماع يوم 26 آذار/مارس 2007 يوماً دولياً للاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية المائتين لإلغاء تجارة الرقيق عبر المحيط الأطلسي، تأكيداً للالتزام الذي تم التعهد به في ديربان للقضاء على الرق باعتباره انتهاكاً خطيراً لحقوق الإنسان.

Resolution 61/19 of 28 November 2006, in which the General Assembly designated 25 March 2007 as the International Day for the Commemoration of the two-hundredth anniversary of the Abolition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and decided to observe it today, reflected once again the Organization's efforts to recognize slavery and the slave trade as a crime against humanity.
والقرار 61/19 المؤرخ 28 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2006، الذي أعلنت فيه الجمعية العامة يوم 25 آذار/مارس 2007 يوماً دولياً للاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية المائتين لإلغاء تجارة الرقيق عبر المحيط الأطلسي، وقررت الاحتفال بها اليوم، يعبر مرة أخرى عن جهود المنظمة للاعتراف بأن الرق وتجارة الرقيق جريمة ضد الإنسانية.

The General Assembly has thus concluded the Commemoration of the two-hundredth anniversary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade.
بهذا تكون الجمعية العامة قد اختتمت إحياء الذكرى السنوية المائتين لإنهاء تجارة الرقيق عبر المحيط الأطلسي.

That date was also recognized during the sixty-first session by this Assembly as the International Day for the Commemoration of the two-hundredth anniversary of the Abolition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
كما أعلنت هذه الجمعية ذلك التاريخ، خلال الدورة الحادية والستين، يوما دوليا للاحتفال بذكرى مرور مائتي عام على إلغاء تجارة الرقيق عبر المحيط الأطلسي.
