The Convention, after all, unreservedly prohibited imposition of capital punishment for offences committed by persons below 18 years of age.

Moreover, article 6.5 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights stipulates that the death penalty shall not be imposed for crimes committed by persons below 18 years of age.
كما تنص الفقرة 5 من المادة 6 من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية على عدم جواز الحكم بعقوبة الإعدام على الجرائم التي يرتكبها أشخاص دون سن الثامنة عشرة.

76. The Committee recommends the few States parties that have not done so yet to abolish the death penalty for all offences committed by persons below the age of 18 years and to suspend the execution of all death sentences for those persons till the necessary legislative measures abolishing the death penalty for children have been fully enacted.
76- وتوصي اللجنة الدول الأطراف القليلة التي لم تلغ بعد عقوبة الإعدام فيما يتعلق بالجرائم التي ارتكبها أشخاص دون الثامنة عشرة بأن تقوم بذلك، وأن تعلّق تنفيذ جميع عقوبات الإعدام المفروضة عليهم ريثما ينتهي سنّ جميع التدابير التشريعية اللازمة التي تحظر تنفيذ عقوبة الإعدام على الأطفال.

59. The Convention on the Rights of the Child prohibits capital punishment for crimes committed by persons below 18 years of age.
59- تحظر اتفاقية حقوق الطفل عقوبة الإعدام على الجرائم التي يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن 18 عاماً.

24. In addition, the Convention on the Rights of Child, to which the Islamic Republic of Iran is also a State party, explicitly prohibits the imposition of capital punishment for offences committed by persons below 18 years of age.
24- وإضافة إلى هذا، فإن اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، المنضمة إليها جمهورية إيران الإسلامية أيضاً كدولة طرف، تحظر صراحة ًفرض عقوبة الإعدام بالنسبة للجرائم التي يرتكبها أشخاص يقل عمرهم عن 18 عاماً.

1. The Special Representative conducted a global progress survey to assess follow-up ensured to the recommendations of the study on violence against children, which contained queries on capital punishment imposed for offences committed by persons below the age of 18 years.
