Nigeria welcomed the decision by the Commonwealth Secretariat to establish a task force on the return of property, and applauded Commonwealth Heads of Government for the Aso Rock Declaration on Development and Democracy, adopted at the summit held in Abuja (Nigeria), in which Commonwealth States promised maximum cooperation to recover assets of illicit origin and return them to the country of origin.
