The Committee also recommends that the State party give due consideration to ratifying ILO Convention No. 138 (1973) concerning the Minimum Age for Admission to employment.

It cannot be overemphasized that Convention No. 182 does not revise or replace ILO Convention No. 138, concerning the Minimum Age for Admission to employment or work, which establishes the ultimate goal of effective abolition of child labour as a whole.
