In paragraph 30 of its resolution 52/111 of 12 December 1997, the General Assembly requested, inter alia, the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination to assist the preparatory committee for the World Conference, to undertake reviews, to submit recommendations concerning the World Conference and the preparations therefor and to participate actively in the World Conference.
1- طلبت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 52/111 المؤرخ 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1997 إلى جهات منها لجنة القضاء على التمييز العنصري أن تساعد اللجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي، وتجري استعراضات، وتقدم توصيات بشأن المؤتمر العالمي وأعماله التحضيرية، وأن تشارك في هذا المؤتمر مشاركة فعالة.
