It welcomed the measures taken by the Secretary-General of UNCTAD to strengthen the TRAINFORTRADE programme and invited him to take into consideration in this process the conclusions and recommendations contained in the evaluation report and to submit a progress report to the Working Party in 1998.

37. The representative of Malaysia thanked the evaluation team and the secretariat. He agreed with the recommendations contained in the evaluation report on the EMPRETEC programme aimed at putting the programme on a stronger footing and giving it a broader platform.

The 12 recommendations contained in the evaluation report of the Trainmar programme (TD/B/WP/144) were grouped into five blocks as follows:

This mission was implemented as a follow-up to the recommendations contained in the evaluation report of the OHCHR and UNDP technical cooperation project " Support to the role of the Parliament of Uruguay to address human rights issues " .

On the in-depth evaluation of EMPRETEC, his Group was favourably impressed by the methodologies used for that exercise and hoped that the recommendations contained in the evaluation report would be fully implemented.

1. At its forty-first session, in 2001, the Committee for Programme and Coordination considered the report of the Office of Internal Oversight Services on the in-depth evaluation of population (E/AC.51/2001/3) and endorsed all 11 recommendations contained in the evaluation report.

10. At its sixty-sixth session, having further discussed the recommendations contained in the evaluation report on the UNCTAD programme on science and technology for development (TD/B/WP/234, TD/B/WP(59)/CRP.1), the Working Party endorsed the workplan presented by the secretariat for the implementation of recommendations contained in document TD/B/WP/234 and requested the secretariat to proceed with its implementation.
10- بعد أن واصلت الفرقة العاملة، في دورتها السادسة والستين، مناقشة التوصيات الواردة في تقرير التقييم المتعلق ببرنامج الأونكتاد المعني بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا من أجل التنمية (TD/B/WP/234, TD/B/WP(59)/CRP.1)، أيدت خطة العمل التي قدمتها الأمانة لتنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في الوثيقة TD/B/WP/234 وطلبت إلى الأمانة مباشرة تنفيذها.

4. The discussions were structured so as to correspond to the two main topics selected by the Working Party for review, namely " the secretariat's proposals with respect to the implementation of the recommendations contained in the evaluation report " (agenda item 1 of the deliberations) and " future actions aimed at enhancing programme delivery, especially with regard to the assistance to be provided to the Trade Points " (agenda item 2).

9. At its sixty-second session, the Working Party requested that member States further discuss the recommendations contained in the evaluation report of the UNCTAD programme on science and technology for development (TD/B/WP/234, TD/B/WP(59)/CRP.1) and decided that such discussions would take place before the next session of the Working Party on technical cooperation.
9- طلبت الفرقة العاملة في دورتها الثانية والستين أن تواصل الدول الأعضاء مناقشة التوصيات الواردة في تقرير تقييم برنامج الأونكتاد المتعلق بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية (TD/B/WP/234 وTD/B/WP(59)/CRP.1). وقررت أن تجرى هذه المناقشات قبل الدورة المقبلة للفرقة العاملة المعنية بالتعاون التقني.

4. At its sixty-fifth session, the Working Party requested that member States further discuss the conclusions and recommendations contained in the evaluation report on the UNCTAD subprogramme on globalization, interdependence and development (TD/B/WP/252) and in the management response to the evaluation (TD/B/WP(65)/CRP.1).
4- طلبت الفرقة العاملة في دورتها الخامسة والستين أن تواصل الدول الأعضاء مناقشة الاستنتاجات والتوصيات الواردة في تقرير تقييم برنامج الأونكتاد الفرعي بشأن العولمة والترابط والتنمية (TD/B/WP/252) وفي رد الإدارة على التقييم (TD/B/WP(65)/CRP.1).
