In that connection, it noted the importance of the work of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities and supported all the strategies formulated to prevent that practice.

DCI attended and contributed to the meetings of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, making oral or written statements separately or jointly with other related non-governmental organizations.

Recalling its resolution 1982/20 of 10 March 1982 on the question of slavery and the slave trade in all their practices and manifestations and its resolutions on the reports of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, including the most recent, resolution 1994/25 of 4 March 1994,
وإذ تشير إلى قرارها ٢٨٩١/٠٢ المؤرخ ٠١ آذار/مارس ٢٨٩١ بشأن مسألة الرق وتجارة الرقيق بجميع ممارساتهما ومظاهرهما، وإلى قراراتها المتعلقة بتقارير الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة والتابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، بما فيها آخر قرار لها وهو ٤٩٩١/٥٢ المؤرخ ٤ آذار/مارس ٤٩٩١،

The Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities had done valuable work in that regard.
وقد قام الفريق العامل المعني باﻷشكال المعاصرة للرق التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، بعمل قيﱢم في هذا الشأن.

35. The Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on the Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities held its twenty-second session from 2 to 11 June 1997.
٣٥ - وعقد الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات دورته الثانية والعشرين في الفترة من ٢ إلى ١١ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٧.

In that regard, she commended the work of the Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography, as well as that of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities.
وفي هذا الصدد، أثنت على العمل الذي قام به المقرر الخاص المعني ببيع اﻷطفال ودعارة اﻷطفال واستخدام اﻷطفال في انتاج المواد اﻹباحية فضلا عن عمل الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات.

28. Reports relating to the implementation of the Convention are considered by the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities of the Commission on Human Rights.
٢٨ - ويقوم بالنظر في التقارير المتصلة بتنفيذ الاتفاقية الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات التابعة للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان.

Recognizing the need to ensure effective cooperation and constructive dialogue with United Nations bodies active in the field of the rights of the child, in particular the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities,
وإذ تسلم بالحاجة الى ضمان التعاون الفعال والحوار البناء مع هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة العاملة في ميدان حقوق الطفل، ولاسيما المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان المعني ببيع اﻷطفال ودعارة اﻷطفال والمواد اﻹباحية عن اﻷطفال، والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات،

Recognizing the importance of ensuring effective interaction and cooperation with United Nations bodies acting in the field of the rights of the child, including the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities,
إذ تدرك أهمية ضمان التفاعل والتعاون الفعالين مع هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة العاملة في ميدان حقوق الطفل، بما في ذلك المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان المعني ببيع اﻷطفال ودعارة اﻷطفال والمواد اﻹباحية عن اﻷطفال والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات،

9. Requests the Commission on Human Rights to encourage the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities to continue to address the issue of the traffic in women and girls under its draft programme of action on the traffic in persons and the exploitation of the prostitution of others;
٩ - تطلب إلى لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان أن تشجع الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية المعنية بمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، بأن يواصل معالجة قضية الاتجار بالنساء والفتيات في إطار برنامج عمله بشأن الاتجار بالبشر واستغلال بغاء اﻵخرين؛

8. Draws the attention of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women and the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities to the problem of trafficking in women and girl children;
٨ - توجه انتباه المقررة الخاصة للجنة حقوق الانسان المعنية بمسألة العنف ضد المرأة، والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات إلى مشكلة الاتجار بالنساء والطفلات؛

8. 8. Draws the attention of the Special Rapporteur on violence against women and the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities to the problem of trafficking in women and girl children;
٨ - توجه انتباه المقررة الخاصة للجنة حقوق الانسان المعنية بمسألة العنف ضد المرأة، والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات الى مشكلة الاتجار بالنساء والطفلات؛

" 13. Recommends that the Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women of the Commission on Human Rights and the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities pay special attention to cases of sexual exploitation and trafficking;
" ١٣ - توصي المقرر الخاص المعني بمسألة العنف ضد المرأة، التابع للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، بإيلاء اهتمام خاص لحالات الاستغلال الجنسي والاتجار به؛

8. Draws the attention of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women and the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities to the problem of trafficking in women and girl children;
٨ - توجه انتباه المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق الانسان المعني بمسألة العنف ضد المرأة، والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات الى مشكلة الاتجار بالنساء والطفلات؛

(c) To reduce the duration of the annual meeting of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights to five working days from the present eight days;
(ج) تقصير مدة الاجتماع السنوي للفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان بحيث تصبح خمسة أيام عمل بدلاً من المدة الحالية وهي ثمانية أيام؛

416. Such a unit, guided by a thematic approach, would constitute a focal point in this area, bringing together the activities developed by the Committee on the Rights of the Child, the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography, as well as the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities.
٤١٦ - وهذه الوحدة، التي ستسترشد بنهج مواضيعي، ستشكل مركز تنسيق في هذا المجال يجمع بين اﻷنشطة التي تستحدثها لجنة حقوق الطفل والمقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان المعني ببيع اﻷطفال ودعارة اﻷطفال والمواد اﻹباحية عن اﻷطفال، والفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات.

1. Expresses its appreciation to the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities for its valuable work, in particular the progress made at its nineteenth session in implementing its programme of work, and for its flexible methods of work;
١- تعرب عن تقديرها للفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة والتابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات لعمله القيم، وخاصة التقدم الذي أحرزه في دورته التاسعة عشرة في تنفيذ برنامج عمله، ولانتهاجه أساليب عمل مرنة؛

Taking note also, with concern, of the report of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities on its twentieth session, in particular its observations with respect to the treatment of migrant workers,
وإذ تحيط علما أيضا مع القلق بتقرير الفريق العامل المعني باﻷشكال المعاصرة للرق التابع للجنة الفرعية المعنية بمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات في دورته العشرين، ولا سيما ملاحظاته المتعلقة بمعاملة العاملات المهاجرات،
