Where evictions are justified, they should be undertaken in full compliance with the relevant provisions of international human rights law and according to the procedures underlined in general comment No. 7 and in the basic principles and guidelines on development-based evictions and displacement.

One of the means used was to develop concrete tools to help in the protection, promotion and implementation of the right to adequate housing, such as the above-mentioned basic principles and guidelines on development-based evictions and displacement.
