ويوصي التقرير بأن تقوم اللجنة، عند اختتام التقييم الشامل في عام 2006، ببحث إمكانية توحيد هذه الولاية مع آلية الرصد والإبلاغ الخاصة بالانتهاكات التي تُقترف في حق الأطفال في الصراعات المسلحة والتي يجري إنشاؤها في الوقت الراهن بتوجيه من مجلس الأمن.

Therefore, in order to avoid duplication and to harmonize the work of the United Nations on this issue, at the end of the two-year assessment period, the Commission should consider consolidating this mandate with the work now being undertaken at the direction of the Security Council.
ولذلك، وبغية تجنب ازدواج الجهود وتنسيق العمل الذي تضطلع به الأمم المتحدة بشأن هذه المسألة، ينبغي للجنة أن تنظر، في نهاية فترة التقييم المحددة بسنتين، في توحيد هذه الولاية مع العمل المضطلع به حالياً بتوجيه من مجلس الأمن.
