I would like to refer to General Assembly resolution 58/34, concerning the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East, which was adopted without a vote. The resolution urges all parties directly concerned to take the practical and urgent steps required to establish a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the region of the Middle East and invites the countries concerned to adhere to the Treaty.
وأود الإشارة هنا إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 58/34 بشأن إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط والذي اعتمد دون تصويت، ويحث جميع الأطراف المعنية مباشرة على اتخاذ ما يلزم من خطوات عملية عاجلة لجعل الشرق الأوسط منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية، ويدعو الدول المعنية إلى التقيد بمعاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية.

In that context, Jordan would like to recall that since 1974 the General Assembly has adopted more than 32 resolutions on the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the region of the Middle East, and has called upon all parties directly concerned to consider taking the practical and urgent steps required for the implementation of that proposal.
وفي هذا السياق، يود الأردن أن يذكر بأن الجمعية العامة اتخذت منذ عام 1974 ما يزيد على 32 قراراً بشأن إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في الشرق الأوسط، ودعت جميع الأطراف المعنية مباشرة إلى النظر في اتخاذ الخطوات العملية والعاجلة اللازمة لتنفيذ هذا الاقتراح.
