8. Based on the experiences gained in drawing up the directory of competent national authorities pursuant to the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, the core data elements would include:

(i) To designate competent national authorities under articles 6, 7 and 17 of the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, or to update their national information in the online directory of competent national authorities, available from the UNODC website;

The Secretariat also produced informative leaflets, for distribution at meetings, regional workshops and sessions of the Conference, that explain how to access and utilize the wide variety of tools available to Member States, in particular the online directory of competent national authorities, the Mutual Legal Assistance Request Writer Tool and the online legal library.
7- وأنتجت الأمانة أيضا نشرات إعلامية، للتوزيع في حلقات العمل الإقليمية ودورات المؤتمر، من أجل شرح كيفية الوصول إلى مجموعة الأدوات المتنوعة المتاحة للدول الأعضاء واستخدامها، ولا سيما دليل السلطات الوطنية المختصة الحاسوبي وأداة كتابة طلبات المساعدة القانونية المتبادلة والمكتبة القانونية الحاسوبية.

19. Information on the efforts of States parties to harmonize their national legislation with the provisions of the Convention and its Protocols is also available in the database of legislation on the UNODC Sharing Electronic Resources and Laws against Organized Crime (SHERLOC) knowledge management portal, which also includes a case law database and a link to the directory of competent national authorities.
