Disarmament Week has been celebrated annually since its establishment by resolutions of the first United Nations special session on disarmament and of the General Assembly in 1978.
إن أسبوع نزع السلاح يجري الاحتفال به سنويا منذ أن أعلنته قرارات صادرة عن الدورة الاستثنائية اﻷولى للجمعية العامة المكرسة لنزع السلاح وعن الجمعية العامة في عام ٨٧٩١.

١٠ - وثمة أعمال تحضيرية قيد الاعداد من أجل الاضطلاع بأنشطة اعلامية مشتركة من قبل إدارة نزع السلاح ومكتب شؤون نزع السلاح، وذلك فيما يتصل باسبوع نزع السلاح لعام ١٩٩٣، مما يتضمن انتاج مواد اعلامية وتنظيم ندوة بالمقر تمتد يومين.

It has therefore sought to enhance awareness by disseminating governmental messages regarding Disarmament Week throughout Japanese society.
