In this connection, the Committee cites resolution 63/243 of 24 December 2008, in which the General Assembly strongly urged States parties to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.
وتشير اللجنة، في هذا الصدد، إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 63/243 المؤرخ 24 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2008، الذي حثت فيه بقوة الدول الأطراف على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءاتها المحلية للتصديق على التعديل وإخطار الأمين العام كتابة وفي أسرع وقت ممكن بموافقتها على هذا التعديل.

In this connection, the Committee refers to General Assembly resolution 63/243, in which the Assembly urged States parties to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.

In this connection, the Committee recalls General Assembly resolution 61/148 of 19 December 2006 and resolution 63/243 of 24 December 2008, in which the General Assembly strongly urged States parties to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment to the Convention and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.
