Improved medical assistance is provided to victims, as part of the amended Act on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of Victims, and, in order to prevent recurrences of violence, various special treatment programmes for offenders are conducted.
وتقدَّم مساعدة طبية أفضل للضحايا في إطار قانون منع العنف المنزلي وحماية الضحايا المنقَّح، وتوفَّر للمجرمين أنواع شتى من برامج المعالجة الخاصة للحيلولة دون تكرر أعمال العنف.

The amended Act on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of Victims and Others effective from May 2012 gives police officers, when dispatched to the scene of domestic violence, the authority to enter and investigate the crime scene to protect victims.

Please provide information on measures taken to effectively implement the Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of Victims, and on measures taken by the State party to counter the use of local reconciliation processes in dealing with violence against women, mechanisms to collect data on the prevalence of domestic violence and efforts taken in coordination with the civil society, to combat all forms of violence against women.

21. The Act on Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of Victims (amended on May 8, 2009) obligates the central and local governments to provide shelter to victims of domestic violence who have left home to escape violence by giving them access to public rental housing on a priority basis.
21- إن القانون المتعلق بمنع العنف المنزلي وحماية الضحايا (عدل في 8 أيار/مايو 2009) يوجب على الحكومة المركزية والحكومات المحلية توفير المأوى لضحايا العنف المنزلي الذين يغادرون بيوتهم هرباً من العنف وذلك من خلال تمكينهم على سبيل الأولوية من استئجار سكن.

It referred to two amendments to the Special Act on Punishment of Domestic Violence in 2002 and the Act on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of Victims in 2004 that expand the role of prosecutors, authorizing them to issue temporary detention orders against perpetrators, and provides medical assistance to victims to the extent that the Government recovers medical fees in case the perpetrator lacks financial means.
