The Oslo Conference approved the draft Convention on the Prohibition of Anti-Personnel Mines, which we believe is of the utmost importance because of its deeply humanitarian content.
ووافق مؤتمر أوسلو على مشروع اتفاقية حظر اﻷلغام المضادة لﻷفراد، التي نعتقد أن لهــا أهمية قصوى نظرا لمضمونها اﻹنساني للغاية.

Until radioactive waste is safely disposed of, States will always be exposed to this silent, invisible threat, since the radiation produced by the decay of radioactive materials, as defined in the draft Convention on the Prohibition of radiological weapons, could bring about death, suffering, environmental disaster and destruction.

Based on that position, the Chinese delegation believes that certain language in draft resolution A/C.1/49/L.31 and in the draft Convention on the Prohibition of the Use of Nuclear Weapons annexed to it need to be discussed further.
واستنادا إلى هذا الموقف، يؤمن الوفد الصيني بأنه ينبغي إجراء المزيد من المناقشة بشأن بعض الصيغ المستخدمة في مشروع القرار A/C.1/49/L.31، وفي مشروع اتفاقية حظر استعمال اﻷسلحة النووية المرفق به.

1. Reiterates its request to the Conference on Disarmament to commence negotiations, in order to reach agreement on an international convention prohibiting the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons under any circumstances, taking as a possible basis the draft Convention on the Prohibition of the Use of Nuclear Weapons annexed to the present resolution;
١ - تكرر طلبها إلى مؤتمر نزع السلاح أن يبدأ في إجراء مفاوضات بغية التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن إبرام اتفاقية دولية تحظر استعمال اﻷسلحة النووية أو التهديد باستعمالها في أي ظرف من الظروف متخذا كأساس ممكن لذلك مشروع اتفاقية حظر استعمال اﻷسلحة النووية المرفق بهذا القرار؛
