إن مزاعم اللجنة بشأن حالات الاعتداء على الصحفيين والمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان وتهديدهم وترهيبهم بسبب أنشطتهم المهنية منافية للواقع.

(a) Take immediate steps to provide effective protection to journalists and human rights defenders whose lives and security are under threat due to their professional activities, including by the timely adoption of the bill on crimes committed against freedom of expression exercised through the practice of journalism;
(أ) اتخاذ تدابير فورية بغية توفير حماية فعالة للصحفيين وللمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان الذين تتعرض حياتهم وأمنهم للخطر بسبب أنشطتهم المهنية ولا سيما من خلال القيام في الوقت المناسب باعتماد مشروع القانون المتعلق بجرائم انتهاك حرية التعبير في إطار مزاولة مهنة الصحافة؛

24- ويساور اللجنة القلق من المعلومات التي تلقتها بشأن الحالات العديدة للاعتداء على الصحفيين بسبب أنشطتهم المهنية وتهديدهم وتخويفهم (المادة 19).

The State party is urged to take immediate action to ensure effective protection of human rights defenders whose lives and security are under threat due to their professional activities.
تحثّ اللجنة الدولة الطرف على اتخاذ إجراءات فورية تكفل للمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان الذين تتعرض حياتهم وأمنهم للخطر بسبب طبيعة أنشطتهم المهنية حمايةً فعالةً.
