In the light of article 29, paragraph 1, of the Convention, the Committee is also concerned at the quality of education in the State party.

These and other concerns which are related to the state of education in the State party are reflected in the following recommendations.

The Committee is concerned, however, at the quality of education in the State party and at the high attrition rate between the primary and secondary levels, especially in rural and remote areas, because of limited capacity at the secondary level.

452. The Committee welcomes the information that public education in the State party is free and compulsory until the completion of secondary education and that it is conducted in seven languages.
452- وترحب اللجنة بالمعلومات التي تفيد بأن التعليم في الدولة الطرف مجاني وإلزامي حتى إنهاء التعليم الثانوي وبأنه يتمّ بسبع لغات.

589. The Committee recommends that education in the State party be directed towards the development, with the active participation of the child, of the child's personality, talents and mental and physical abilities to their fullest potential, in accordance with article 29 of the Convention.
589- وتوصي اللجنة بأن يتم توجيه التعليم في الدولة الطرف بمشاركة فعالة من الطفل، نحو تنمية شخصيته ومواهبه وقدراته العقلية والبدنية إلى أقصى إمكاناتها، وفقاً للمادة 29 من الاتفاقية.

In the light of article 29.1 of the Convention, the Committee is also concerned about the quality of education in the State party.
وعلى ضوء أحكام المادة 29(أ) من الاتفاقية، تعرب اللجنة أيضاً عن قلقها إزاء نوعية التعليم في الدولة الطرف.

The Committee also welcomes information that undocumented children have access to education in the State party and that citizenship and civic education, including human rights, forms part of the national curriculum at all school levels.
وترحب اللجنة أيضاً بالمعلومات التي تفيد بأن الأطفال غير الحائزين لوثائق ثبوتية يستفيدون من التعليم في الدولة الطرف وأن المواطنة والتربية المدنية، بما في ذلك حقوق الإنسان، تشكل جزءاً من المنهج الدراسي الوطني على جميع المستويات الدراسية.

The Committee regrets that human rights have not been included in school curricula at all levels of education in the State party (art. 13).

27. Please furnish information on the steps currently being taken to provide full guarantees of the right to education, including for children and adolescents with disabilities, and on measures to ensure the full inclusion of deaf, blind and deaf-blind students and students with intellectual disabilities at the various levels of education in the State party.
27- يُرجى تقديم معلومات عن الإجراءات الفورية المعتمدة من أجل كفالة حق الأطفال والمراهقين ذوي الإعاقة من الجنسين في التعليم الشامل، وكذلك عن التدابير الرامية إلى إدماج الطلاب ذوي الإعاقة إدماجاً كاملاً في مختلف مراحل التعليم في الدولة الطرف.

(a) The public expenditures on education in the State party are extremely low and remain below 5 per cent of GDP, regarded as the benchmark to achieve Education for All;
(أ) لا تزال النفقات الحكومية على التعليم في الدولة الطرف منخفضة للغاية وأقل من 5 في المائة من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي وهو معيار تحقيق التعليم للجميع؛

58. Indicate to what extent the form and substance of education in the State party are directed towards the aims and objectives identified in article 13, paragraph 1, and whether school curricula include education on economic, social and cultural rights.
58- يرجى بيان ما إذا كان التعليم في الدولة الطرف موجهاً من حيث الشكل والمضمون نحو تحقيق الأهداف والأغراض المحددة في الفقرة 1 من المادة 13()، وما إذا كانت المناهج الدراسية تتضمن التعليم في مجال الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.
