121. Following the proclamation of the Permanent Egyptian Constitution, the Egyptian legislature promulgated the following enactments to extend and harmonize insurance coverage:
١٢١- وعقب صدور الدستور المصري الدائم، أصدر المشرع المصري عدة قوانين بهدف مد وتوحيد المعاملة التأمينية وهي:

The above-mentioned provisions point to the fact that the Egyptian legislature abides by the provisions of the Covenant pertaining to deportation and that it provides the necessary guarantees in terms of the authority competent to issue deportation orders and the right to challenge them before the courts.
وتشير النصوص سالفة الذكر إلى التزام المشرع المصري بمقتضيات الإبعاد المقررة وفقا لأحكام العهد مع وضع الضمانات اللازمة بشأن جهة إصدار هذا القرار وجواز التظلم منه أمام القضاء.

46. With regard to public emergencies, the Egyptian legislature has adopted the theory of pre-emergency legislation, since the Constitution stipulates that states of emergency should be proclaimed by the President of the Republic in the manner prescribed by law.
46- وقد انتهج المشرع المصري في هذا الشأن بالنسبة للطوارئ العامة نظرية التشريع المسبق للطوارئ حيث نص الدستور على أن يكون الإعلان عنها بقرار من رئيس الجمهورية على الوجه المبين بالقانون.

52. The Egyptian legislature deals specifically with the offence of torture in article 126 of the Penal Code, which explicitly stipulates that torture committed by, or on the order of, a public official is a criminal offence.
52- هذا وقد اختص المشرع المصري جريمة التعذيب المنصوص عليها في المادة 126 من قانون العقوبات بمعالجة هذا الأمر إذ نص صراحة على تجريم التعذيب الحاصل بأمر صادر من موظف عام أو قيام الأخير بذلك بنفسه.

273. The foregoing clearly shows that the Egyptian legislature fully abides by all of the provisions of article 6 of the Covenant, which were already in force in Egypt prior to ratification of the Covenant forming the subject of this report.

66. Since the Egyptian legislature is likewise committed to those constitutional principles, which enjoy the highest status in the Egyptian legal system, Egypt's legislation upholds and affirms those principles. In fact, the legislature has amended some legislative texts in order to make them consistent with those principles and instruments.
٦٦- والتزاماً من المشرع المصري كذلك بأحكام المبادئ الدستورية، اﻷسمى مرتبة وفقا للنظام القانوني المصري، جاءت القوانين المصرية المختلفة حريصة على تلك المبادئ ومؤكدة لها بل قام المشرع بتعديل بعض النصوص التشريعية لتأتي متفقة مع تلك المبادئ وهذه الاتفاقيات.

133. The Egyptian legislature, being committed to the above—mentioned constitutional principles and the relevant international conventions to which Egypt has acceded, has promulgated numerous enactments to regulate and protect family—related rights and interests.
٣٣١- والتزاماً بالمبادئ الدستورية سالفة الذكر وبالمواثيق الدولية المعنية المنضمة لها مصر تناول المشرع المصري بالتنظيم والحماية اﻷحكام المتصلة باﻷسرة في العديد من القوانين، كل في مجاله وفقاً للحقوق التي يحميها أو المصلحة التي يبتغيها المشرع.

(a) The care exercised by the Egyptian legislature in providing for an important safeguard by stipulating that criminal or civil proceedings arising from crimes of torture are not statute-barred, thereby ensuring that the guilty parties do not escape punishment and that compensation is paid to the injured parties;
