2. The initial election shall be held as soon as possible but in any case within 18 months after the date of entry into force of this Convention.
٢ - يُجرى الانتخاب اﻷول في أقرب وقت ممكن، على أن يتم في أي حال في غضون ١٨ شهرا من تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية.

Such reservations shall take effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the Party concerned.
ويبدأ سريان تلك التحفظات بالتزامن مع بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية فيما يخصُّ الطرف المعني.

(i) entry into force of this Convention for the Party concerned; or
' 1` دخول هذه الاتفاقية حيز النفاذ لدى الطرف المعني؛ أو

Such reservations shall take effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the Party concerned.
ويبدأ سريان تلك التحفُّظات بالتزامن مع بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية فيما يخص الطرف المعني.

2. Any additional annexes adopted after the entry into force of this Convention shall be restricted to procedural, scientific, technical or administrative matters.
2 - تقتصر أي مرفقات إضافية تُعتمد بعد بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية على المسائل الإجرائية أو العلمية أو التقنية أو الإدارية.

" 4. A reservation takes effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the Contracting Party concerned.
" 4- يسري مفعول التحفظ بالتزامن مع بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية فيما يخص الطرف المتعاقد المعني.

1. Each Party with primary mercury mining within its territory [at the date of entry into force of this Convention for it] shall:
1 - يلتزم كل طرف يوجد تعدين أوّلي للزئبق داخل أراضيه [في تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية] بما يلي:

Each Party shall develop, within 4 years of entry into force of this Convention for the concerned Party an Action Plan of its obligations under this Convention.
5 - يضع كل طرف في غضون أربع سنوات من دخول هذه الاتفاقية حيز النفاذ بالنسبة للطرف خطة عمل معنية بالتزاماته بمقتضى هذه الاتفاقية.

2. The first Meeting of States Parties shall be convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations within one year of entry into force of this Convention.
2- يدعو الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى عقد أول اجتماع للدول الأطراف في غضون عام واحد من دخول هذه الاتفاقية حيز النفاذ.

3. Reservations made at the time of ratification, acceptance or approval of this Convention or accession thereto shall take effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the Party concerned.
التحفظات التي تُبدَى وقت التصديق على هذه الاتفاقية أو قبولها أو إقرارها أو الانضمام إليها يبدأ سريانها بالتزامن مع بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية فيما يخصُّ الطرف المعني.

" Commencing four years after the date of entry into force of this Convention, and periodically thereafter at intervals to be decided by the Conference of the Parties, the Conference shall evaluate the effectiveness of this Convention. "
" يقيم مؤتمر الأطراف فعالية هذه الاتفاقية بعد انقضاء أربع سنوات على بدء نفاذها وبانتظام بعد ذلك على فترات يقررها مؤتمر الأطراف. "

" 3. A declaration takes effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the State concerned.
" 3- يصبح الاعلان نافذ المفعول في ذات الوقت الذي يبدأ فيه نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة المعنية.

Article 11 further states that " The First Meeting of States Parties shall be convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations within one year of entry into force of this Convention.
وتنص المادة 11 أيضاً على أن " يدعو الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى عقد أول اجتماع للدول الأطراف في غضون عام واحد من دخول الاتفاقية حيز النفاذ.

5. Each Party shall discourage the manufacture of mercury-added products for uses not covered by any known use of mercury-added products prior to the date of entry into force of this Convention for the Party.
5 - على كل طرف أن يثني عن تصنيع المنتجات المضاف إليها الزئبق للاستخدامات غير المشمولة بأي استعمال معروف للمنتجات المضاف إليها الزئبق قبل تاريخ دخول هذه الاتفاقية حيّز النفاذ بالنسبة للطرف.

(i) entry into force of this Convention for the Party concerned; or
