The consultations will provide the world's environment ministers with the opportunity to address in a comprehensive manner how to meet multiple environmental and development challenges at the country level and to capitalize on opportunities that might arise and how national and international environmental governance, including trade and financing mechanisms, might better support such endeavours.
2 - وسوف تتيح هذه المشاورات لوزراء البيئة في العالم فرصة التصدي بطريقة شاملة لكيفية مواجهة التحديات البيئية والإنمائية المتعددة على المستوى القطري واقتناص الفرص التي قد تنشأ وكيف يمكن للإدارة البيئية الوطنية والدولية، بما في ذلك آليات التجارة والتمويل، دعم هذه المساعي على أفضل وجه.

More broadly, such a shift should support the achievement of sustainable development and the Millennium Development Goals. Moving towards a green economy would also provide an opportunity to reexamine national and global governance structures and consider whether such structures allow the international community to respond to current and future environmental and development challenges and to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
وعلى نطاق أوسع، من شأن هذا التحوّل أن يدعم تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وبلوغ الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية، وأن يوفّر أيضاً فرصة لإعادة النظر في هياكل الإدارة الوطنية والدولية ولبحث ما إذا كانت هذه الهياكل تسمح للمجتمع الدولي بالتصدي للتحديات البيئية والإنمائية الحالية والمقبلة وبالاستفادة من الفرص الناشئة.
