6. The development and transfer of environmentally-sound technologies between countries and within them is an important part of a global response to desertification and land degradation in the drylands, in order to slow and to reverse the degradation process and also to enable people and societies to adapt to changes that do occur.
6- ويشكل تطوير التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئياً ونقلها بين البلدان وداخلها عنصراً هاماً في الاستجابة العالمية للتصحر وتدهور الأراضي في مناطق الأراضي الجافة، بغية إبطاء عملية التدهور وعكس مسارها وتمكين الناس والمجتمعات من التكيف مع التغيرات.

(b) To establish an intergovernmental technical advisory panel, an innovative mechanism in the context of UNFCCC, to assist developing country Parties to obtain environmentally-sound technologies and know-how related to climate change on non-commercial and preferential terms, thus contributing to the ultimate objective of the Convention;
