Expresses its deep concern regarding the economy measures announced by the Secretary-General on 26 August 1993 in the context of the financial crisis without prior consultation with Member States, those measures being in contradiction with the principle of equal treatment of the official languages of the United Nations as laid down in resolution 42/207 C;
٨ - تعرب عن عميق قلقها ازاء تدابير الاقتصاد التي أعلنها اﻷمين العام في ٢٦ آب/اغسطس ١٩٩٣ في سياق اﻷزمة الاقتصادية دون تشاور مسبق مع الدول اﻷعضاء، لكون هذه التدابير مخالفة لمبدأ المساواة في المعاملة بين اللغات الرسمية لﻷمم المتحدة المنصوص عليه في القرار ٤٢/٢٠٧ جيم؛

45. With regard to the new technology to be used as a means of improving productivity and cutting costs, he had taken note of the concern expressed by delegations to ensure full compliance with the principle of equal treatment of the official languages of the United Nations.
٤٥ - وفيما يتعلق بالتكنولوجيا الجديدة المقرر استعمالها كوسيلة لتحسين اﻹنتاجية وخفض التكاليف، أحاط علما بالقلق الذي أعربت عنه الوفود لضمان التقيد الكامل بمبدأ المساواة في معاملة اللغات الرسمية في اﻷمم المتحدة.

19. Mr. Cardy (South Africa), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, said that the Group attached great importance to ensuring the equal treatment of the official languages of the United Nations, as well as the timely issuance of documentation, the provision of adequate conference facilities to Member States and the integration of information technology across duty stations.
19 - السيد كاردي (جنوب أفريقيا): تكلم باسم مجموعة الـ 77 والصين، فقال إن المجموعة تعلق أهمية كبيرة على ضمان المساواة في معاملة اللغات الرسمية الست في الأمم المتحدة، وكذلك إصدار الوثائق في الوقت المحدد، وتوفير مرافق المؤتمرات الكافية للدول الأعضاء، وإدخال تكنولوجيا المعلومات في جميع مراكز العمل.

7. Calls upon the Secretariat to provide the Office of Conference Services with adequate resources, especially technological resources, to enable it to respond to its increased workload and maintain a high standard of services, with due respect to the principle of equal treatment of the official languages of the United Nations as laid down in resolution 42/207 C of 11 December 1987;
٧ - تطلب من اﻷمانة العامة تزويد مكتب شؤون المؤتمرات بالموارد المناسبة، وخصوصا الامكانيات التكنولوجية، لتمكينه من التصدي لازدياد عبء العمل والمحافظة على مستوى رفيع للخدمات مع ايلاء الاحترام الواجب لمبدأ المساواة في المعاملة بين اللغات الرسمية لﻷمم المتحدة المنصوص عليه في القرار ٤٢/٢٠٧ جيم، المؤرخ ١١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٨٧؛
