٤٧ - واستطردت قائله إنه نظرا إلى أن مشاكل المخدرات والجريمة المنظمة وغسيل اﻷموال الوثيقة الترابط تعكس على نطاق عالمي المشاكل الاجتماعية المتصلة بمستويات المعيشة ودرجات التنمية الاقتصادية وما شابهها، فإن القضاء عليها لا يتوقف فقط على مكافحة مظاهرها الجنائية وإنما، أولا وقبل كل شيء، على ضمان التنمية العامة المستدامة والقضاء على الفقر والبطالة وحل اﻷزمات الاقتصادية.

2. The clear condemnation by the Government of the Sudan of these practices in all their forms wherever they may occur, and its commitment to eradicating them wherever they are found, demonstrates the seriousness of the Government's intent to abide by its international commitments.
