وقد أوضح اﻷمين التنفيذي لﻹسكاب أن المنطقة قد اكتسبت إمكانية لكي تصبح مركزا مهما للنمو حيث ارتفعت حصة الصادرات في داخل المنطقة إلى أكثر من ٤٥ في المائة، وكانت تزداد بأسرع من زيادة معدل الصادرات إلى البلدان خارج المنطقة كما أن حجم اﻷسواق في داخل المنطقة ما برح يتوسع بسرعة.
