Encourages member States, regional and subregional organizations and existing criteria and indicators processes to strengthen and facilitate regional and subregional cooperation, as appropriate, on monitoring, assessment and reporting, by sharing experience and know-how through such means as joint meetings and workshops, making publications available in other languages, electronic communication and the development of web sites;

20. In resolution 4/3,5 the Forum acknowledged the following thematic elements of sustainable forest management that are drawn from existing criteria and indicators processes and offer a reference framework for sustainable forest management:
20 - وفي القرار 4/3() سلّم المنتدى بالعناصر المواضيعية التالية التي تنطوي عليها الإدارة المستدامة للغابات وهي مستخلصة من عمليات المعايير والمؤشرات القائمة وتطرح إطارا مرجعيا للإدارة المستدامة للغابات:

Recognition that the following 7 thematic elements of sustainable forest management drawn from the criteria identified by existing criteria and indicators processes offer a coherent and useful reference framework for sustainable forest management and constitute an indicative global set of criteria for sustainable forest management:

Member States will monitor progress in implementing national measures, policies, actions or specific objectives towards achieving the Global Objectives on Forests, taking into consideration, as appropriate, the seven thematic elements of sustainable forest management92 and utilizing as much as possible indicators from existing criteria and indicators processes. 60. Following the adoption of the forest instrument, the secretariat of the Forum undertook an analysis of indicators in the Global Forest Resources Assessment and three existing criteria and indicators processes that were relevant to assessing progress in the achievement of the four global objectives on forests, as well as thematic areas of the forest instrument.
60 - وفي أعقاب اعتماد الصك المتعلق بالغابات، أجرت أمانة منتدى الأمم المتحدة المعني بالغابات تحليلا للمؤشرات الواردة في تقييم الموارد الحرجية في العالم ولثلاث من عمليات المعايير والمؤشرات القائمة المجدية بغرض تقييم التقدم المحرز في تحقيق الأهداف العالمية الأربعة بشأن الغابات، فضلا عن المجالات المواضيعية للصك المتعلق بالغابات().
