The African Group of States Members of the United Nations submits herewith its position on the question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the Security Council (General Assembly resolution 47/62), as decided by the Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity at its fifty-eighth ordinary session, which convened at Cairo in June 1993.

45. First, at its fifty-eighth ordinary session held in Cairo from 21 to 26 June 1993, the OAU Council of Ministers adopted resolution CM/Res.1469 (LVIII) entitled " Resolution on the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II) " .
٤٥ - أولا، اتخذ مجلس وزراء منظمة الوحدة الافريقية في دورته العادية الثامنة والخمسين المعقودة بالقاهرة في الفترة من ٢١ إلى ٢٦ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣ القرار CM/Res.1469 (LVIII) المعنون " قرار بشأن مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة الثاني المعني بالمستوطنات البشرية )الموئل الثاني( " .

The Organization of African Unity (OAU) wishes to request that the General Assembly endorse the appeal launched by the International Olympic Committee to build a peaceful and better world through sport, contained in resolution CM/Res.1472 (LVIII), adopted by the Council of Ministers at its fifty-eighth ordinary session held at Cairo from 21 to 26 June 1993, and endorsed by the Summit of the Heads of State and Government.
تود منظمة الوحدة الافريقية أن تطلب الى الجمعية العامة أن تؤيد النداء الذي وجهته اللجنة اﻷوليمبية الدولية من أجل بناء عالم سلمي وأفضل من خلال الرياضة، والذي ورد في القرار CM/Res.1472 (LVIII)، الذي اعتمده مجلس الوزراء في دورته العادية الثامنة والخمسين المعقودة في القاهرة في الفترة من ٢١ الى ٢٦ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣، والذي أيدته قمة رؤساء الدول والحكومات.
