11. By paragraph 7 of its resolution 51/233, the General Assembly authorized the Secretary-General to enter into commitments for UNIFIL in the amount of $1,773,618 to cover the costs directly attributable to the incident at Qana and costs associated with the relocation of the Fijian battalion headquarters.
١١- أذنــت الجمعيـة العامــة لﻷميــن العــام في الفقرة ٧ من قرارها ٥١/٢٣٣ بالدخول في التزامات للقــوة بمبلغ ٦١٨ ٧٧٣ ١ دولارا لتغطية التكاليف الناشئة مباشرة عن حادث قانا والتكاليف المتصلة بنقل مقر الكتيبة الفيجية.

10. UNIFIL has completed a full review of the damages resulting from the incident that occurred at Qana and the surrounding area on 18 April 1996 and identified the total costs directly attributable to the incident at $893,319, comprising $552,474 in damages to the headquarters compound of the Fijian battalion and $340,845 in damages sustained in other surrounding positions in the UNIFIL area of operations.
١٠- وقد أنجزت القوة استعراضا كاملا لﻷضرار الناجمة عن الحادث الذي وقع في قانا والمنطقة المحيطة بها في ١٨ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٦ وحددت مجموع التكاليف التي تعزى مباشرة إلى الحادث بمبلغ قدره ٣١٩ ٨٩٣ دولارا يشمـل مبلغــا قــدره ٤٧٤ ٥٥٢ دولارا يتعلق باﻷضرار التي لحقت بمجمع قيادة الكتيبة الفيجية ومبلغا قدره ٨٤٥ ٣٤٠ دولارا يتعلق باﻷضرار التي لحقت بمواقع أخرى محيطة به داخل منطقة عمليات القوة.

The Committee was further informed that, as at 15 March 1997, besides the $131,750 recorded in the performance report under review, requirements of $884,524 are expected to be recorded during the current budget period ($363,866 corresponding to the costs indicated in paragraph 12 of the Secretary-General's report and $520,524 corresponding to phases I and II of the relocation of the Fijian battalion).
