" fixed platform " and " ship " mean a fixed platform and ship which are outside the State;

(a) prevent the person from boarding the ship or fixed platform or from travelling on board the ship,

(ii) on board a vessel or a ship or fixed platform registered in the Republic or an aircraft which is registered under the laws of the Republic at the time the offence is committed;

The perpetration of an act of violence against a person on board a ship or fixed platform if that act is likely to endanger the safe navigation of such ship or the safety of such platform and the destruction of a ship or fixed platform or causing damage to ships or platforms shall be punishable under criminal law, as shall be:
ومن الآن فصاعدا، غدت تخضع لأحكام القانون الجنائي أعمال العنف المرتكبة ضد شخص يوجد على متن سفينة أو منصة ثابتة، إذا كان من شأن تلك الأعمال أن تعرض للخطر سلامة ملاحة السفينة أو المنصبة الثابتة، أو القيام بتدمير سفينة أو منصة ثابتة أو إلحاق أضرار بتلك المنشآت.

(1) Whoever on board of an aircraft, civilian vessel, or a fixed platform on a continental shelf with the intention to gain or exercise control over the aircraft, civilian vessel, or fixed platform
(1) كل من يوجد على متن طائرة أو على ظهر سفينة مدنية أو منصة ثابتة على جرف قاري بنية الاستيلاء أو السيطرة على الطائرة أو السفينة المدنية أو المنصة الثابتة

(b) performing an act of violence against a person on board a ship or fixed platform if that act is likely to endanger the safe navigation of the ship or the safety of the fixed platform;
(ب) ارتكاب عمل من أعمال العنف ضد شخص على متن سفينة أو منصة ثابتة إذا كان من شأن هذا العمل أن يشكل خطرا على سلامة ملاحة السفينة أو على سلامة المنصة الثابتة؛

(1) Section 2(1) applies to an act done outside the State in relation to a ship or a fixed platform if it is done--
(1) تنطبق المادة 2 (1) على الأفعال التي تُرتكب خارج الدولة في ما يتعلق بسفينة أو منصة ثابتة إذا ارتُكب هذا الفعل -

places, or causes to be placed, on a ship or fixed platform a device or substance, likely-
(هـ) أو يضع على متن السفينة أو المنصة الثابتة جهازا أو مادة من المحتمل أن تحدث ما يلي، أو يكون السبب في وضعهما:

" fixed platform " means an artificial island installation or structure permanently attached to the sea-bed for the purpose of exploration or exploitation of resources or for other economic purposes and located within an area designated under section 2 of the Continental Shelf Act 1968;
يُقصد بعبارة " المنصة الثابتة " بنيان أو منشأ جزري اصطناعي مثبت بقاع البحر بشكل دائم لأغراض التنقيب عن الموارد أو استغلالها أو لأي أغراض اقتصادية أخرى، ويقع ضمن المنطقة المحددة بموجب البند 2 من قانون الجرف القاري لعام 1968؛

(b) without warrant board the ship or fixed platform and remove the person from it, or
(ب) اعتلاء السفينة أو المنصة الثابتة بدون أمر قضائي وإنزال الشخص من عليها، أو

(2) Where a member of the Garda Síochána or Defence Forces suspects, with reasonable cause, that a person who is about to board, or is on board, a ship or fixed platform intends to commit an offence under section 2 on or in relation to that ship or fixed platform, the member may--
