11.10 As an implementing agency of the Global Environment Facility, UNEP will continue providing assistance to eligible countries in the development and implementation of projects in the six focal areas of the Facility, in accordance with the guidance from the governing bodies of the multilateral environmental agreements whose implementation of the Global Environment Facility serves as a funding mechanism.

Requests the Executive Director to continue efforts to secure and enhance support from the Global Environment Facility for providing assistance to countries to carry out activities related to land degradation in view of the interlinkages between land degradation and the focal areas of the Facility;
