That was borne out by the Millennium Declaration adopted at the fifty-fifth session of the United Nations General Assembly, which stressed the challenge of ensuring that globalization became a positive force for all the world's people, and called for global policies and measures tailored to the needs of developing countries and economies in transition.
وهو ما عبّر عنه اعلان الألفية الذي اعتمد أثناء الدورة الخامسة والخمسين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، الذي أكد على التحدي المتمثل في تأمين تحول العولمة الى قوة ايجابية لشعوب العالم كافة ودعا الى اعتماد سياسات وتدابير عالمية تتناسب مع احتياجات البلدان النامية والاقتصادات الانتقالية.

Underlining the fact that it is imperative for the international community to ensure that globalization becomes a positive force for all the world's people, and that only through broad and sustained efforts, based on our common humanity in all its diversity, can globalization be made fully inclusive and equitable,
وإذ تشدد على أنه لا بد أن يكفل المجتمع الدولي جعل العولمة قوة إيجابية لشعوب العالم كافة وأن العولمة لا يمكن أن تكون جامعة ومنصفة تماما إلا ببذل جهود دؤوبة واسعة النطاق عمادها إنسانيتنا المشتركة بكل ما فيها من تنوع،

" We believe that the central challenge we face today is to ensure that globalization becomes a positive force for all the world's people.
" وإننا نعتقد أن التحدي الأساسي الذي نواجهه اليوم هو ضمان جعل العولمة قوة إيجابية تعمل لصالح جميع شعوب العالم.

That was why it was important for the international community to fulfil its commitment to ensure that globalization became a positive force for all the world's people, as set forth in the Millennium Declaration.
ومن ثم فإن من الضروري أن يحترم المجتمع الدولي الالتزام المعقود في إعلان الألفية ألا وهو ضمان أن تصبح العولمة قوة إيجابية لصالح جميع شعوب العالم.

The challenge remained to ensure that globalization became a positive force for all the world's people.
ويبقى التحدي وهو كفالة أن تصبح العولمة قوة إيجابية لجميع شعوب العالم.

وكما جاء في تقرير الأمين العام عن الألفية، فإن التحدي الأساسي الذي نواجهه اليوم هو ضمان جعل العولمة قوة تعمل لصالح جميع شعوب العالم.

There is a collective responsibility to support the compilation, publication and use of statistics to ensure that, in the words of the Millennium Declaration, " globalization becomes a positive force for all the world's people " .
وأُشير إلى أن دعم تجميع الإحصاءات ونشرها واستخدامها مسؤولية جماعية لضمان ' ' جعل العولمة قوة إيجابية تعمل لصالح جميع شعوب العالم`` حسبما ورد في إعلان الألفية.

وكما يشير الأمين العام بحق في تقريره بمناسبة الألفية، فإن التحدي الرئيسي الذي نواجهه اليوم هو كفالة أن تصبح العولمة قوة إيجابية لجميع شعوب العالم.
