The Group took note of the report of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and UNESCO, which called for broadband-friendly practices and policies to achieve the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), to ensure that the potential of broadband connectivity and content were at the service of development.
