5. The secretariat is participating actively in the preparations for the African Ministerial Conference on Commodities scheduled for June 2003 in Dakar, Senegal.

9. Following a needs assessment meeting carried out jointly by OHCHR, OAU and the African Commission in Luanda, Angola, in April 1998, it became apparent that the preparatory work for the African Ministerial Conference required additional resources.

10. Calls upon all Governments and the donor community to enhance their support to the implementation of priority programmes of the New Partnership for Africa's Development and the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment through, inter alia, contributions to the General Trust Fund for the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment;
10 - يدعو جميع الحكومات والدوائر المانحة إلى تعزيز الدعم المقدم لتنفيذ البرامج ذات الأولوية للشراكة الجديدة لصالح تنمية أفريقيا، والمؤتمر الوزاري الأفريقي المعني بالبيئة من خلال أمور من بينها تقديم المساهمات في الصندوق الاستئماني العام للمؤتمر الوزاري الأفريقي المعني بالبيئة؛

One representative welcomed the report and expressed appreciation for UNEP support for the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN), particularly with regard to the implementation of the Rio+20 outcomes.
