The workshop recognizes this, and therefore welcomes the proposal made by His Excellency Mr. Han Sung-Joo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, that a human rights forum for the Asian and Pacific region such as this one, be convened on a regular basis, which would facilitate the exchange of ideas and information regarding matters of common interest in the field of human rights.

In this connection, the workshop noted the proposal that subsequent workshops be called: " United Nations Forum for the Asian and Pacific region on Human Rights Issues " .
وفي هذا الصدد أحاطت حلقة التدارس علما باقتراح تسمية حلقات التدارس القادمة " محفل اﻷمم المتحدة لمنطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ بشأن قضايا حقوق اﻹنسان " .

6. Takes note of the conclusions of the fourth workshop, which stated, inter alia, that while the experience of other regions would continue to be carefully examined, it was clear that any regional arrangements for the Asian and Pacific region would need to be based on the needs, priorities and conditions prevailing in the region;
