1 - إنني أهيب بجميع الدول الأعضاء أن تصدق على البروتوكول الاختياري لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل بشأن اشتراك الأطفال في الصراع المسلح وأن تودع إعلانات ملزمة لدى تصديقها هذا توضح فيها سن الثامنة عشرة بوصفه الحد الأدنى المستصوب من العمر للتجنيد الطوعي في صفوف القوات المسلحة الوطنية.

(a) The minimum age set for voluntary recruitment into the armed forces, in accordance with the declaration submitted upon ratification or accession or any change thereafter;

69. States are encouraged to establish 18 years as the minimum age for voluntary recruitment into armed forces when depositing their binding declaration upon ratification of the Optional Protocol.
