I have the honour to transmit herewith the text of the Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia issued on 4 October 2001 in support of an international coalition against terrorism.

Two years ago the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia proposed at a meeting of the Conference on Disarmament that, pending the negotiations on the fissile materials cut-off treaty, the nuclear-weapon States should declare a moratorium on the production of weapons-grade fissile materials and promote greater transparency through disclosure of their present stocks.

I have the honour to forward herewith the text of a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia on 9 October 2006 expressing the position of the Government of Mongolia on a nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on that day.
