ففي 5 أيلول/سبتمبر 1997، سنَّت الحكومة الأرجنتينية القانون رقم 24-871، الذي ينشئ إطارا تشريعيا لتنظيم نطاق تنفيذ القوانين الأجنبية داخل الإقليم الوطني.

3. Article 1 of that Act provides that foreign legislation which, through the imposition of an economic embargo or limits on investment in a given country, seeks to have extraterritorial legal effects in order to bring about a change of government in a country or to affect its right to self-determination shall also be wholly inapplicable and devoid of legal effect.
وتنص المادة 1 من هذا القانون على أن القوانين الأجنبية التي تستهدف إحداث آثار قانونية خارج الإقليم الوطني بفرض حصار اقتصادي أو قيود على الاستثمار في بلد ما، بغية تغيير حكومة ذلك البلد أو التأثير على حقه في تقرير مصيره، لا تطبق البتة ولا تترتب عليها آثار قانونية.

4. Measures by any country which violate the provisions of resolution 50/10, and which attempt to compel the citizens of a third country to obey foreign legislation, affect the interests of the international community as a whole and violate generally accepted principles of international law.
٤ - وأي تدابير يتخذها بلد ما من البلدان، انتهاكا ﻷحكام القرار ٥٠/١٠ وسعيا الى إرغام مواطني بلد ثالث على الانصياع لتشريعات أجنبية تمس بمصالح المجتمع الدولي ككل وتنتهك مبادئ القانون الدولي المتعارف عليها.

2 - والتزاما من الجماهيرية العربية الليبية بمقاصد ومبادئ الأمم المتحدة واحترامها لأحكام القانون الدولي، لم تقم بإصدار أو تطبيق أي قوانين مثل تلك المشار إليها في الفقرة ذات الصلة من قرار الجمعية العامة 54/21.
