In the elaboration of the report, which proved an interesting and fruitful exercise, every effort was made to follow, as far as possible, the indicative, wide-spectrum Guidelines on the form and content of the reports to be submitted by States parties to the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
3- وخلال عملية إعداد التقرير، التي كانت مثمرة ومثيرة للاهتمام، بُذلت كافة الجهود لاتباع، إلى أبعد الحدود، المبادئ التوجيهية العامة الواسعة النطاق بشأن شكل ومضمون التقارير التي تقدمها الدول الأطراف إلى لجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.

4- يجوز للجنـة إبلاغ الـدول الأطراف، عن طريق الأمين العام، برغباتها فيما يتعلق بشكل ومضمون التقارير الواجب تقديمها بمقتضى المادة 40 من العهد.

He recalled that the Committee's rules of procedure included not only rule 71 (2), cited by Mr. Abuseif, but also rule 66 (4), which stipulated that " The Committee may, through the Secretary-General, inform the States parties of its wishes regarding the form and content of the reports to be submitted under article 40 of the Covenant " .
وأضاف أنه علاوة على المادة 71(2) من النظام الداخلي للجنة، التي ذكرها السيد أبو سيف، يجب التذكير أيضاً بالمادة 66(4) التي تنص على أنه " يجوز للجنة أن تعلم الدول الأطراف، بواسطة الأمين العام، برغباتها فيما يخص شكل ومضمون التقارير التي يجب تقديمها بموجب المادة 40 من العهد " .
