While I welcome the agreement of the Moroccan authorities to formalize the presence of UNHCR, I remain concerned that they have yet to take concrete action to enable UNHCR to carry out the necessary preparatory work for the repatriation of Saharan refugees eligible to vote and their immediate families.
٢٢ - وفيما أرحب بموافقة السلطات المغربية على إضفاء الطابع الرسمي على وجود مفوضية اﻷمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، فإن القلق لا يزال يساورني ﻷنه لم يجر بعد اتخاذ إجراء ملوس لتمكين المفوضية من القيام بالعمل التحضيري الضروري ﻹعادة اللاجئين الصحراويين الذين يحق التصويت لهم ولعائلاتهم المباشرة.

The Council called upon the parties and interested States to sign as soon as possible the proposed refugee repatriation protocol with the UNHCR, urged the Government of Morocco to formalize the presence of the UNHCR in the Territory and requested both parties to take concrete action to enable the UNHCR to carry out the necessary preparatory work for the repatriation of Saharan refugees eligible to vote.
