In the Pacific region, where the same type of cooperation also exists for flight information regions, plans are under way for a cooperative approach by Pacific Forum States in a unified air traffic management system for the whole Pacific airspace.

1. The Pacific Island Forum States share a common vision about the importance of ocean space and the resources found within the marine environment.
