The Committee welcomes the obligation of States parties in article 7 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to ensure that children with disabilities are provided with the necessary assistance and equipment to enable them to freely express their views and for those views to be given due weight.

32- تذكّر اللجنة الكرسي الرسولي بأنّ حق الأطفال في التعبير بحرية عن آرائهم يشكّل أحد المكوّنات الأكثر أساسية لكرامة الأطفال كما تذكّره بأنّ ضمان هذا الحق يشكّل التزاماً قانونياً بمقتضى الاتفاقية، غير متروك لتقدير الدول الأطراف.

317. The Committee is encouraged by the State party's efforts to promote and respect children's right to freely express their views, notably through the establishment of the Junior Council in 2002 with a nationwide initiative.
