The Assembly called on the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to continue to examine the question of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism and to make general recommendations concerning the obligations of States in this regard.
وطلبت الجمعية العامة إلى مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان أن تواصل دراسة مسألة حماية حقوق الإنسان والحريات السياسية في سياق مكافحة الإرهاب وأن تقدم توصيات عامة بشأن التزام الدول في هذا الصدد.

Mindful that in both General Assembly resolution 57/219 of 18 December 2002 and Commission on Human Rights resolution 2003/68 of 25 April 2003 the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights is requested to make general recommendations concerning the obligation of States to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms while taking action to counter-terrorism,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أن مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان قد طُلب إليه في قرار الجمعية العامة 57/219 المؤرخ 18 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2002 وفي قرار لجنة حقوق الإنسان 2003/68 المؤرخ 25 نيسان/أبريل 2003 أن يقدم توصيات عامة بشأن التزام الدول بتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية عند اتخاذها إجراءات لمكافحة الإرهاب،
