The Mission’s current concept of operations is based on the Agreement on a Ceasefire and Separation of Forces, signed in Moscow on 14 May 1994 by the Government of Georgia and the Abkhaz authorities (S/1994/583, annex I). The Agreement, inter alia, delineated a security zone, a restricted weapons zone and designated storage sites for the military equipment withdrawn from the security and restricted weapons zones.
