As regards other weapons of mass destruction, the Secretary-General, in his capacity as depositary of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction (CWC) has written twice this year to all Governments which have not yet ratified the Convention, urging them to do so and thus make it possible for it to enter promptly into force.

112. Governments which have not already done so are urged to formulate and adopt an integrated national youth policy as a means of addressing youth-related concerns.

Pursuant to paragraph 6 of resolution 9/1, the Special Rapporteur would like to reiterate his call on Governments which have not yet responded positively to his request for country missions to extend him an invitation.
