Pursuant to rule 15 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the Secretary-General wishes to report that he has received a letter dated 8 September 1997 from the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, stating that Mr. Myung Chul Hahm has been appointed deputy representative of the Republic of Korea on the Security Council.
