48. Governments should take all feasible measures to ensure that members of their armed forces who have not attained the age of 18 years do not take direct part in hostilities and that those who have not attained the age of 18 years are not compulsorily recruited into their armed forces.
48 - وينبغي للحكومات أن تتخذ جميع التدابير العملية لكفالة عدم مشاركة أفراد قواتها المسلحة الذين تقل أعمارهم عن 18 سنة مشاركة مباشرة في أعمال القتال، وألا يجند من لم يبلغ 18 سنة من العمر قسرا في قواتها المسلحة.

" Children who have not attained the age of 18 years shall neither be recruited in the armed forces or groups nor allowed to take part in hostilities directly or in the performance of any function that would qualify the person as a combatant under humanitarian law. "
" لا يجوز تجنيد اﻷطفال الذين لم يبلغوا سن الثامنة عشرة في القوات أو الجماعات المسلحة ولا السماح لهم بالاشتراك في اﻷعمال الحربية بصورة مباشرة أو بأداء أي وظيفة تكسب الشخص صفة المحارب بموجب القانون الانساني. "

(c) When relevant, the measures taken pursuant to article 38, paragraph 3, of the Convention on the Rights of the Child to ensure that in recruiting those persons who have attained the minimum age set for voluntary recruitment but who have not attained the age of 18 years, priority is given to those who are oldest.

35. The 1966 Act contains further general restrictions on the employment of children and in particular imposes restrictions on any employment of children who have not attained the age of 13 years.
٣٥- ويتضمن قانون عام ١٩٦٦ قيوداً عامة أخرى على عمل اﻷطفال ويفرض بوجه خاص قيوداً على استخدام أي طفل لم يبلغ سن ١٣ عاما.
