The Migration for Employment Convention (Revised), 1949 (No. 97) of the International Labour Organization has been applied to Hong Kong since 1980, and it has remained applicable to the HKSAR after the PRC resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong on 1 July 1997.
وطُبقت اتفاقية العمال المهاجرين (معدلة)، لعام 1949 (رقم 97) لمنظمة العمل الدولية على هونغ كونغ منذ عام 1980، وظلت قابلة للتطبيق في هونغ كونغ الإدارية الخاصة بعد أن استأنفت جمهورية الصين الشعبية ممارسة سيادتها على هونغ كونغ في 1 تموز/يوليه 1997.

32. Mr. FUNG (United Kingdom), replying to a request for information on the modalities that had been agreed upon by the two States for reporting under the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, said that the Convention had been extended to Hong Kong on 14 October 1996.
