The Conference of the Parties may wish to review the notification, pursuant to note (iii) of part I of Annex B to the Convention, and consider whether to extend that production and use for an additional 10 years.

Part I of Annex B sets forth specific requirements with respect to DDT, as follows:

Exemptions for manufacturing processes in which mercury or mercury compounds are used shall refer to the need to continue the use of mercury in the processes set out in part I of Annex B. A party registering such an exemption shall provide a statement explaining the need for the exemption.
تشير الإعفاءات لعمليات التصنيع التي يستخدم فيها الزئبق أو مركبات الزئبق إلى الحاجة إلى الاستمرار في استخدام الزئبق في العمليات المبينة في الجزء الأول من المرفق باء. وعلى كل طرف يسعى لتسجيل من هذا القبيل تقديم بيان يشرح فيه حاجته لذلك الإعفاء.

2. Each Party shall not allow, by taking appropriate measures, the use of mercury or mercury compounds in the manufacturing processes listed in Part I of Annex B after the phase-out date specified in that Annex for the individual processes, except where the Party has a registered exemption pursuant to Article 6.
2 - لا يسمح أي طرف، من خلال اتخاذ تدابير مناسبة، باستخدام الزئبق أو مركّبات الزئبق في عمليات التصنيع المدرجة في الجزء الأول من المرفق باء بعد انقضاء موعد الإنهاء التدريجي المحدَّد في ذلك المرفق لفرادى العمليات، إلاّ إذا كان لدى الطرف إعفاء مسجّل عملاً بالمادة 6.

Decides to amend part I of Annex B of the Convention to list perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride therein by inserting the following row, with the acceptable purposes and specific exemptions specified in the row:
1 - يقرر تعديل الجزء الأول من المرفق باء من الاتفاقية لإدراج حامض السلفونيك البيرفلوروكتاني وأملاحه وفلوريد السلفونيل البيرفلوروكتاني فيه، وذلك بإضافة الصف التالي، مع ذكر الأغراض المقبولة والإعفاءات المحددة في الصف:

As at 15 December 2014, note (iii) of part I of Annex A applies only to hexachlorobenzene, and note (iii) of part I of Annex B applies only to DDT.
