90. Canada proposed amending the wording to " shall assess the adequacy of the steps taken by the State Party in accordance with the provisions of Part II of the Covenant " .
90- واقترحت كندا تعديل الصياغة ليصبح نص الجملة كالآتي: " تقيّم [اللجنة] مدى كفاية الخطوات التي تتخذها الدولة الطرف وفقاً لأحكام الجزء الثاني من العهد " .

Canada, Greece, Poland, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States favoured referring to " any rights set forth in Part III read in conjunction with Part II of the Covenant " .

The United States suggested that the reference to specific articles should be changed to read " any rights set forth in Part III read in conjunction with Part II of the Covenant " .

1. Communications may be submitted by or on behalf of individuals or groups of individuals, under the jurisdiction of a State Party, claiming to be victims of a violation of any of the rights set forth in [Parts II and III of/Part III read in conjunction with provisions contained in Part II of] the Covenant by that State Party.
